Making A Change

I am currently transitioning to a new way of utilizing my creative skills, in order to fulfill my goals of providing support, visibility, and resources to those who are the most marginalized. This includes a transformation from a traditional glamour portrait photographer into an entity that will expand my role as an activist, educator, and artist. As a queer, neurodivergent, black woman, I aim to build a space that dismantles traditional beauty standards, and prioritizes accessibility, diversity, and public community involvement, without giant paywalls that create barriers for marginalized creators.

Because of this, I founded CHARM (COMMUNITY. HUMANITY. ART. REPRESENTATION. MEDIA.) CHARM will be a “for us, by us” collective that will run photo and video productions, publish a magazine, produce a video webseries, conduct interviews, host community events, and partner with local organizations and businesses, with the goal to support marginalized communities, share local resources, help fund grassroots movements, and develop mutual aid efforts.
